a visit to the wax museum

It was a party like no other! There was Lata Mangeshkar and Amitabh Bachhan, Lionel Messi and Sachin Tendulkar, Mahatma Gandhi and Rabindranath Tagore! Celebrities from every field across the globe were in attendance and I clicked away selfies with all; they were happy to oblige! The venue was the MWM- Mother’s Wax Museum, located in New Town, Kolkata. It will be fun!

Established in November 2014 and named after Mother Teresa, Mother's Wax Museum is the country's first wax museum. Once you are through with the wax statues, we may sit on the open terraces of the two adjacent cafeterias on the sixth floor, munch on something scrumptious and watch the expanse of the Eco Park just opposite. You may venture to buy a Bonsai or two-if you have the fancy-from the cafeteria garden!

You can buy a Cap or T-shirt autographed by your favourite celebrity.

Madame Tussauds, London, is the most famous name associated with wax museums.

The only person ever who declined to be sculpted for the Madame Tussauds Museum was Mother Teresa, as she believed her work was more important than her physical being.

The largest figure ever made by Madame Tussauds is of Incredible Hulk, it stands 14.7 feet tall.
